Spent Holy Week at Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
I had such a hard time picking photos because everything was just too pretty!! The first few photos are from Kuala Lumpur while all the rest are from Singapore. This is the second time my family and I have gone to SG and we can't get enough of it. It truly is a beautiful place--clean, safe, and orderly (quite the opposite of my own country, haha!) We went to different malls, Universal Studios, ArtScience Museum, Orchard Road, and many other places. Ate some really spicy food and commuted EVERYWHERE! :D Which is totally awesome because I'm a commuter so I can completely appreciate the efficiency and safety of SG's public transportation system. How I wish the Philippines could emulate that.
We stayed with my Tito Joey and his family in their quaint little apartment in Bukit Batok. It's quite a far drive from the Changi Airport (which is friggin world class--has it's own trains to transport people from one terminal to another). We'd spend the entire day out sightseeing and eating and it made me realize how romantic SG could be. In spite of the country being very much urban, it actually gives off a sense of community, the kind of feel of strolling around and appreciating hard work. I dunno, that's what I felt most of the time because a place as great as this couldn't have evolved without such a unified effort.
This trip was also my sister Trixie's birthday celebration! Happy 16th birthday Trix!
Anyway here are the photos! Hope this makes people visit Singapore because it's grreaaaatttt :)
This trip made me want to dabble in photography. My sister Nikki and took turns using the camera. If she could only lend me her SLR! Or get my own.. Hm.. :)) Visit SG! Go around June-July because I hear that's when the Great Singapore Sale is on.
