The Heart of Life

An entry before I hit the sack:

These past few days (weeks, rather) have been eye openers of sorts. I used to think that I was in a deep shit hole, and that everything just wouldn't work out for me. For some reason though the universe has conspired to be much nicer to me this year around and sometimes I can't believe it. My curfew got pushed back, I have my tattoo, I don't feel like a piece of shit anymore, I've been reconnecting with people I felt I lost touch with, I've been more clear about my goals, and just been having fun basically. Reality hit me in the face real hard earlier this year, and I couldn't be any more thankful for it. I saw things from a perspective other than my own, and it scared me to death! But I think at some point we all need to be scared like that so we know what exactly is important and worthwhile. I've clearly seen my weaknesses (academic ones) and I'm set to turn all that around. I hope everything's alright with everything else, that our country can fix itself, that other countries aren't in conflict anymore, etc. Haha, the latter part seems random but that just stems from the fact that we're part of something bigger, so acting small and thinking for oneself only isn't really going to work. Just a couple of thoughts.

Dearest February

I am TRULY blessed. :) February has been so wonderful thanks to everyone and everything behind these pictures. I'm sad February's ending already, but happy that 2011 has been great so far. Cheers to a great year!

PS: I still haven't blown my birthday cake? Like I don't even have one =)) Been so busy these past days that my family and I just sort of "forgot" it HAHAHA :P

PPS: I've been having weirdly interesting, amusing, and even frightful days. Whatever the case, I'm utterly grateful that I can experience and appreciate what life has to offer me now. 

SO EXCITED FOR THE WEEKS TO COME!! :)

Achiever

Last October, I made a post about all the goals I wanted to achieve (http://bayestrada.blogspot.com/2010/10/empire-state-of-mind.html). They were personal goals that I had set for myself cause I was feeling really bleh about myself and my situation then. Four months after their creation, I'm proud to say that I've achieved more than half of them (6/11)! :) Maybe 6 and a half, cause one of the goals is still in the process of realization. The funny thing about this is that I never really thought about them when I was on my way to "achieving" them. This short list popped into my head just a couple days back when I was looking though Blogspot. I realized then that I work better and accomplish more when I have concrete goals in mind. So... YAY!! :)

Another thing: I HAD THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! :) The pictures will come later.. when people have uploaded, haha! But yeah, definitely the best birthday I've ever had. :) GOD IS GOOD! My family, friends and other people who just made me feel so special are all pleasantly swirling inside my overwhelmed heart HAHA :P

Annddd I'll be posting more often!! But I have to get through this week first. 3 exams meeeenngggggg! I hope everybody has been having a lovely February so far! Happy Valentines Day!! :)
